Nowsight CEO Michael Schader Places 2nd in Nationwide AI Hack-a-Thon

Nowsight Founder and CEO Michael Schader recently placed second in a prestigious Artificial Intelligence (AI) hack-a-thon competition. “The Future of AI is Open” hack-a-thon, sponsored by leading cloud database and AI company Snowflake, culminated with 139 entries, of which Schader’s AdImpact Databot project garnered second place honors.

In addition to leading Nowsight clients to record profitability through business insights only possible with the use of curated AI, Schader serves as the CTO of AdImpact, a political ad analytics organization. These dual roles, and his recent PhD degree leaning into swarm robotics, ensures Schader is at the cutting edge of Open Source AI and its positive implications.

“More and more frequently, business analysts and other employees need access to data stored in SQL databases but lack the programming knowledge to extract it,” said Michael Schader, Nowsight CEO. “The smart use of Large Language Models (LLMs) can bridge this gap, essentially using natural language instructions to create SQL query statements. Combined with our own agentic AI framework, we can ensure the integrity of the source data and applications while allowing non-programmers to access actionable information to drive business impact.”

Nowsight is currently developing offerings based on this technological advancement, harnessing “real” language queries, using AI, to deliver business insights based on up-to-the-minute data. For example:

  • A store manager could ask, “What are the top selling SKUs in other regions that my stores aren’t stocking?”
  • A financial analyst could ask, “Which products have the most seasonality in their sales?”
  • A sales manager could ask, “What’s the forecast over the next six months for each of my product lines?”

Schader concludes, “Right now, AI is moving past the hype of the past two years into the period when forward-looking companies can use new technology on their existing data to instantly answer questions and solve problems that would have been intractable before.  Now is the time to embrace these tools before your competitors do!”
